Prince Philip’s Harsh Nickname for Meghan Markle Exposed

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward revealed in an interview with GB News that Prince Philip had a harsh nickname for Meghan, drawing a comparison between her and Wallis Simpson. According to Seward, Philip, known for his sharp assessment of character, noticed striking similarities between Meghan and Prince Harry and Edward and Mrs. Simpson, which led to the use of this discreet nickname.

“I think that Prince Philip was very canny about people and he didn’t always see bad in people, he often tried to see the good in them,” Seward remarked.

“He just could not get away from the similarities between Meghan and Harry and Edward and Ms Simpson, which his why he used to call her the Duchess of Windsor. Not to her face though, he used to call her DOW,” she explained.

In her book ‘My Mother and I,’ Seward explored Prince Philip’s concerns about Meghan, describing him as “wary” of the former Suits actress and her possible effects on the royal family.

While Prince Philip viewed Meghan as potentially disruptive, Queen Elizabeth II had “high hopes” for her, reflecting a difference in opinion within the royal family about Meghan’s role and influence.
